Faculty:
Kristen Murray is a veteran trial lawyer with over 20 years of experience. She graduated from The University of Texas School of Law in 2002 and was awarded the prestigious E. Barrett Prettyman Fellowship through Georgetown University Law Center in Washington DC. During her fellowship, Kristen represented indigent clients facing criminal charges in adult and juvenile court. In 2005, Kristen moved to Seattle and worked as a public defender with the King County Department of Public Defense for over 11 years handling primarily felony cases. She entered private practice in 2016 with the law firm of Hart Jarvis Murray Chang PLLC where she is currently a partner. Kristen represents clients in federal and state courts and has extensive experience defending against all types of criminal allegations, including complex homicides and sex offenses. In addition to her trial experience, Kristen has litigated appellate matters and enjoys researching, writing, and crafting legal arguments. She has argued in front of the Washington Court of Appeals, the Washington Supreme Court, and the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals.
